Ritual of offering to the ancestors and blue full moon
The Day of the Dead is a day where we honor the people who passed through our lives and, in combination with the full moon, is the ideal time to honor our past by making us aware of who we are today.
Ritual
Find a quiet space you can occupy and make an altar with a white candle, photos from your past and loved ones, and a flower.
Write on a piece of paper 5 things you are grateful for about your present and connect them to your past. What and who made you who you are today?
Fold the sheet, thanking your ancestors for everything they gave you, place the sheet next to the altar and let the candle burn out.
For a week, place a flower on your altar every day and repeat: My past is part of my present and will be part of my future.
I thank you and honor you.
We are past, present and future.
