Give with meaning and give moments

Today we want to write a blog post about gift-giving, given that Christmas is approaching and giving is an essential part of it.

Christmas was a time when the whole family would gather around a huge table for lunch or dinner, finally seeing each other after a year of barely seeing each other.

This Christmas we want to give meaningful gifts.

We're giving you different gift ideas so you don't spend too much this Christmas.

1 GIVE EXPERIENCES

  • Have a picnic in the park
  • Climb a hill
  • Thematic courses, such as cooking, dance, crafts, etc.
  • Spa sessions, massages, etc.
  • Lunches or dinners in restaurants.
  • A trip.

What could be nicer than giving experiences that last a lifetime!

2 MOMENTS

Giving moments is pleasurable for both parties, both for the giver (usually unknowingly) and for the recipient.

Examples of moments could be:

  • Go see your grandmother.
  • Share a coffee with your friend.
  • Watch a movie with your parents at home.
  • Prepare something delicious with your partner.

Money is worthless compared to being able to spend time with someone you love.

We have to value the fact of giving moments.

3 GIVE SOMETHING THAT THE OTHER PERSON NEEDS.

Sometimes it can be difficult to give a gift to someone whose tastes we don't know much about, and we buy them something without knowing if they need it.

I think we should directly ask that person: What do you need?

Children write their letter to Santa Claus, but adults don't... if we did, we would prevent other people from giving us something we don't want and that we accept out of obligation, and on the other hand, it wouldn't be so difficult for the other person to know what to give.

I advise you to always have a wish list, so that when they ask you, you have what you need ready.

4 HANDMADE PRODUCTS

We can find double gratitude in handmade products, because in addition to being a gift that someone has thought of for someone else, it also shows that the product was made by someone's hands.

We can give away:

  • Some delicious dessert of our specialty.
  • Christmas cookies.
  • Give away products from local stores.
  • Soaps or candles made by us.

As you can see, these are gifts that can have great value, but not a high price; that's the difference.

We need to leave consumerism behind and value family time, giving gifts with feeling, not so much money, giving when we want to, not just when a certain date dictates.

Give with meaning, and give quality time.

A Thousand Colors.
